If you already noticed our new viewer features a back-issues panel, making it easier for readers to find the previous issues of your magazine.
It’s time to benefit from this brilliant possibility to increase your pageviews. What you need to do is login to your Joomag account, go to the magazines management and link your magazines with each other.
In the Magazine Management, select one of your magazines and press the “Add issues from existing magazines” button. This will show your all unlinked magazines. Select the ones which should be linked together and press “Add selected magazines as issues” button. From this moment those magazines will disappear from the Magazine Management’s main view and could be found in the magazine’s view, in section “Back issues” (see the illustration below).
The main thumbnail of the magazine will be showing the cover of the latest issue, and the information shown above will be common for the rest of the issues. For adding a new issue you should use “Add issue” and “Add issue from PDF/URL” buttons, otherwise your created magazine will not be linked with the others, hence it will not be visible in the “Back Issues” panel.
For reordering the issues use the number field below each issue. For managing the issue, click the “Manage” link which appears when you take your mouse over it (see the illustration above).
After clicking the “Manage” link, the issue management panel will show up. There you should specify the volume of the issue. For achieving the best result, include the year of the publication in the volume field. This will allow our software to automatically construct the archive of your issues and let the reader find issues based on the calendar year (See the illustration of the viewer above).
Here are some examples of the volume field: “Feb 2012″, “February 2012″, “Vol 2, Feb 2012″, “Issue #2, 2012″, “Feb-2012″.
As you see, it’s really simple to setup your own archive. It will be also displayed in the magazine information page of the website.
